I just wanted to give you guys a heads up about a new movie coming out. It is called Our Family Wedding and stars Lance Gross, Oscar winner Forest Whitaker, Regina King, Carlos Mencia, and America Ferrera. I am only telling you about it because I have two songs in the film, and I think it is going to be pretty funny. I haven’t had a chance to see the entire movie, but I will be checking it out this weekend. If you get a chance to see it, I would love to hear what you think in the comments. The two songs I have in the film are called Fever and Burning Up. I will post the songs up later today.

A few weeks ago, I saw a trailer for the movie District 9. I LOVED IT. The imagery, the story line, all of it. So much so, I was inspired to write a song about it. I wrote the song and put it to some footage I found on the internet from the movie and put the “Freedom” trailer on Youtube and Facebook. It apparently struck a nerve with some folks and people have emailed me and left comments asking for more information about the song and where they could get it. I didn’t want to charge for it, so I spoke to the producer (Big Zik @bigzik) and he agreed to allow me to give it away on my site for free. So with that said, here is the trailer and a link to download the song. Enjoy. Feel free to leave feedback.

So Fresh (Nobody Hot As Me) in the New Movie “Fighting”

So I received an email last night about the one of my songs being a part of the new movie “Fighting” with Channing Tatum and Terrance Howard. I was told they were interested in using the song a few months back, but I never heard back about it. Well it turns out they are going to use it and they are also going to put it on the soundtrack. The soundtrack has a page on MySpace and the official movie page is also up. I have yet to see an advertisement for the movie, but it is not supposed to be released until April 24th. Maybe the marketing will pick up in the next few weeks. In the meantime, check out the trailer and make sure you go to the movies and check it out. I added the song below the trailer and you can buy it now on iTunes.
