LeBron 12 Elite 2015

Nike Basketball upgrades the materials and design of the LeBron 12 to make it Elite

The month of March marks one of the busiest times of the year when it comes to basketball. In addition to college hoops, the NBA is season heads into its final stretch before the playoffs happen. During this time, athletes start to fine tune their game in preparation for a title run. Providing their athletes with the tools they need is key for Nike Basketball, and for LeBron James, that tool is the LeBron 12 Elite.

Started a few years ago, the Nike Basketball Elite series represents the next step in the performance footwear. Built off of the  foundation created by the signature line, the Elite series elevates the line to the pinnacle point for the season. With a player like LeBron James,  lock down is crucial. The LeBron 12 Elite features a new vertical wings that wrap the foot and provide lock down and stability.

Like the regular season LeBron 12, the LeBron 12 Elite features hexagonal Zoom pads, six in total, that provide low profile, responsive cushioning. Strategically placed to balance James’s explosiveness and his multidirectional movement, the pods were created not only to be seen, but to provide James with the best tools possible.

Launching alongside the Kobe X Elite and the KD 7 Elite, the LeBron 12 Elite will launch in three distinct colorways. The first, Nike Elite Series Team Collection, launches April 18 and features the team colors of Bryant, Durant and James. The second, Nike Elite Series Elevate Collection, features blue hues as a nod to the sky and launches May 15. The third, Nike Elite Series Rose Gold Collection, pulls inspiration from the journey to the championship trophy and will be available June 5.
