This weekend, the company formerly known as Blue Ribbon Sports will officially release the Nike Basketball Easter collection. The collection takes a playful and fun look at their three signature sneakers, the Nike LeBron X, the KD V, and the Nike Kobe 8. Today, I bring you a closer look at the Nike KD V Easter.
Soon to be released as a low top sneaker, the Nike KD V has been highly praised this season for its design and performance on the court. For the Easter release, Nike Basketball has switched the upper to a turquoise blue that has just a slight gloss effect. The bold heel couter that displays his number, 35 as well as the 5-pointed star, starts a trail of white that extends down through the midsole up to the toe. Bright citrus plays coy on the design and breaks up the upper across the laces as well as the liner of the performance sneaker. Finally, the Nike Swoosh on the toe and on the lateral side have been splashed with color, creating a mixed bowl of paint effect.
Officially colored in Turquoise Blue/Bright Citrus/Fiberglass, the Nike KD V “Easter” is set to hit select Nike Basketball locations on March 29.
